Bespoke garden buildings

Timber, hands, a shelter

Carports, garden sheds, pergolas. And treehouses, the commission we like best. Everything is drawn for your plot and built by our own hands, in chosen timber: nothing comes out of a box.

We work from southern Luxembourg up to Mersch.

A building made to measure fits its corner of the garden instead of cluttering it: the right roof pitch, the door on the right side, the height that passes under the branch of the old apple tree. We draw, cut and assemble ourselves, which also allows everything a catalogue does not: a log store lean-to, a green roof, a gutter feeding the water butt.

Carports are sized for the snow and wind we get here, anchored on pads or ground beams. Pergolas carry the vine or the wisteria over the terrace. Solid timber, honest joints, nothing that shakes in the first storm.

And then there are the treehouses. Perched in a sound tree (which we know how to choose, it is our first trade), fixed without injuring the tree, with a guardrail and a ladder at child height. These are the jobs people still talk to us about years later.

What this covers

  1. Carport

A timber frame sized for our winters; flat, monopitch or planted roof.

  2. Treehouse

Perched in a sound tree, fixed properly, by people whose trade is trees.

  3. Garden shed

Storage, workshop or log store: the right volume, in the right place, in timber that lasts.

  4. Pergola

Built shade first, living shade after: a structure made to carry planting.

How it works

  1. The meeting

We come and look at the site, at the tree if there is one, at the access and at what you mean to store or do inside. Many projects change place or size at this point, and that is exactly as it should be.

  2. The drawing

A dimensioned sketch, then a plan: volume, roof pitch, openings, timber species, roof covering. You see the building before a single beam is cut.

  3. The workshop

Cutting, assembly and preparation at our place, under cover. That is what makes the work short at your house and the parts a proper fit, rather than planed in a hurry in the garden.

  4. The build

Pads or ground beams, frame raised, cladding, roof, finishing. An ordinary garden shed goes up in two to three days; a treehouse takes longer.
